Citámbulos
Citámbulos is an urban research collective that explores and presents everyday life in Mexico City through an interdisciplinary and experimental approach and series of exhibitions, thereby making a valuable contribution to the global discussion on megacities.
Their name is a made up word that means ambulatory city. In the spirit of the French flâneur and their idea of “learning by walking around,” Citámbulos believes that the practice of the city begins with the practice of the public sphere. Curating the city means means disregarding established borders and creating platforms where the city is being discussed as a common concern and collective project.
