Institute for Justice
Institute for Justice (IJ) works in local communities across the US to promote grassroots citizen engagement. Their work relies on four strategies for citizen empowerment:
1) Litigation to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans to speak freely and defend their rights.
2) Research and reports to inform and empower citizens to exercise their constitutional rights.
3) Litigation is selectively used to defend and expand citizens’ rights
4) Activism managing and supporting citizens’ grassroots campaigns at the state and local levels with media content, legal testimony, training and when necessary, public demonstrations.
