Picnic de Palabras
Picnic de Palabras Ecuador (Picnic of Words) is a free space created for reading books in public spaces with a focus on children. This initiative is the national version of a project that originated in Colombia and today works in various cities in Latin America.
Picnic de Palabras has a special catalog of children’s and youth literature that is made available to participants. Whoever wishes can read them on their own, ask their companions to do so or ask one of the group’s members. Members also travel to different parts of the country offering the same set of experiences.
